So if you’re on this page you must be looking for a newborn photographer / newborn photography and the first thing I’d like to say is – huge congratulations, I’m so excited for you.
I currently offer 2 different types of newborn sessions: ‘Perfectly Posed’ sessions, and ‘Little white onesie’ sessions:
I am very experienced in handling and posing newborn babies. I am safety trained, meaning your baby is in completely safe hands.
The session is led by baby and I pose him/her focusing on comfort and safety at all times.
Ideally, for the posed sessions I will photograph your baby when they are under 2 weeks old. This helps to achieve those beautiful squishy, curly, super sleepy images. This is not to say we can’t photograph your baby a bit older, but the ideal time for newborn photography is within that first 1 or 2 weeks.
Full newborn photography sessions can take about 2-3 hours, giving that extra wiggle room for baby feeding and soothing breaks! I’ll give you tips to prepare your little one for the session so that we can get the very best of baby when you are here. Simply bring the baby, and enjoy a well-deserved rest; watching whilst I photograph your little one, just feet away!
‘Little White Onesie’
A completely unposed session, your beautiful new baby exactly as they are.
That quick kiss. That flash of love across their face when they look at you. That little kick, with those little toes.
These unposed sessions for me are all about being quick… Capturing those authentic moments. Capturing the moments that pass all too quickly.
Meaning the pressure is off… There is absolutely no pressure at all for baby to be a certain way.
Whatever baby is doing, if s/he is awake, asleep, sneezing, stretching, even feeding. We capture that.
100%, authentically them.
These sessions are around 45 minutes – 1 hour long, and can include sibling and family images if you wish!
Suitable for babies any age from newborn – sitting (around 6 months), but best within the first few weeks for the newborn feel!
Please do get in touch during pregnancy to book your shoot. Most people book after their 20-week scan, and I do tend to get fully booked well in advance. We will reserve your due date, and then when baby arrives we can select a date and time to suit us both. Occasionally, babies are late/earlier than planned, leaving gaps in my diary, so if baby is already here and you haven’t yet booked, pop me a message to check my availability!
Siblings are welcome too, however please notify me beforehand so I can prepare for the session.
